The Pattern Keeper is an original 12 x 12 mixed media collage that exudes color, pattern, and the layered energy of collected places, handmade marks, and visual storytelling.
Every background paper in this piece was printed by hand, then layered with my signature painted collage elements, including bold shapes, patterned circles, leaves, dots, and floral-inspired forms. The bird images were sourced from a small vintage booklet I found at a flea market in Tokyo, adding a collected, travel-worn story to the piece.
Rich with color, pattern, and movement, The Pattern Keeper feels like a gathering place for memory, travel, and handmade marks - a piece that holds little fragments of where I’ve been and what I continue to carry into my work.
