This paper pack began as a single, hand-painted pattern created after time spent in Oaxaca, Mexico, during the vibrant and deeply meaningful celebrations of Día de los Muertos.
Immersed in marigolds, painted tiles, sacred symbols, rich textiles, and layers of color, I returned to the studio inspired to capture that bold, celebratory energy in paint.
The original artwork was carefully scanned and reimagined into six expressive colorways — each designed to layer beautifully in mixed media, collage, and art journaling.
Included Colorways:
Maiz Morado — deep plum inspired by traditional purple corn.
Rosa Fuerte — electric pink drawn from papel picado and festive florals.
Talavera Bloom — vibrant blues inspired by my mom's Talavera dishware.
Tamarindo Sol — warm golden tones inspired by my favorite tamarind sweets.
Paleta — bright colors inspired by frozen treats and market stalls.
Hidden Cenote — deep turquoise and jade inspired by hidden jungle pools and cool, natural water.
